Men's Soccer Bucs Drop Close Conference Game to Vikings

SALEM, Mass -- The Buccaneers traveled to Salem on Saturday for their second conference game of the season after drawing with Fitchburg in their first MASCAC game last week. The game remained scoreless at half and the Vikings broke through in the 56th minute with what proved to be the game winner in the 1-0 loss for Maritime.

The Bucs took five shots in the game, all on target, two from sophomore Ryan Soughou and one each from Quin LutzHunter Hanks, and McNeill Somers. Goalkeeper Quinn Kelly made 15 saves in the loss.

Aaron O'Toole scored the game winner for Salem. The goal was assisted by Brendan Davis. Goalkeeper Matt Hauntsman made five saves in the Vikings victory.

Salem outshot the Bucs 25-5 in the match and had 10 corner kicks while Maritime had none. 

The Buccaneers are back home for their next game on Friday, September 30th against MCLA in MASCAC play at 7pm.
