Maida Named LEC Co-Offensive Player of the Year

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Little East Conference announced their 2023 men's lacrosse postseason awards on Thursday morning. Buccaneer senior attackman and captain Mitchell Maida has been named Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

This season, Maida scored 58 goals in 15 games and tallied 21 assists for a total of 79 points. He also picked up 46 ground balls and caused 18 turnovers on the defensive end of the field.

In his career with the Bucs, Maida has played in 39 games, scored 130 goals, racked up 67 assists totaling 197 career points. He picked up a career 136 ground balls and caused 37 turnovers. 

This is the first major conference award for the senior captain and his second appearance on the LEC All-Conference teams. He was named to the All-LEC Second Team in 2022.
