Rivard tallied twice and provided the helper on junior Colleen Bazinet’s (Charlton, Mass.) marker in the opening 26-plus minutes of play for the visiting Owls (7-1-1, 2-0 MASCAC), who also received goals from freshman Sarah Sypek (Westhampton, Mass.) in the 27th minute and senior Heather Dragon (Westhampton, Mass.) in the 41st minute to take a 5-0 advantage at the break. Senior Ashley Kulik’s (Granby, Conn.) marker 4:42 after intermission extended the Owl edge to 6-0, and senior Kate Wye’s (Blackstone, Mass.) tally in the 84th minute, coupled with an own goal with 1:18 remaining, closed out the visitors’ scoring for the contest.
