BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Sophomore Kaitlyn Quigley (Santa Maria, Calif.) netted a goal and an assist to lead Salem State to a 6-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime in the season finale for both schools Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium.

Freshman Sara Previte (Beverly, Mass.) gave the visiting Vikings (7-7-3, 2-3-2 MASCAC) the only goal they would need 6:30 into the contest off a rebound, and fellow freshman Katelyn Krish (Rockland, Mass.) extended that margin to 2-0 at the break after converting a feed from senior Katelyn DeMaio (Woburn, Mass.) with 2:26 remaining in the half.  Junior Lauren Kilduff (Walpole, Mass.) took a pass from Quigley just 3:48 after intermission to give Salem State a 3-0 edge, and markers from sophomore Casey Connolly (Nahant, Mass.) and Quigley that came 3:07 apart midway through the second half extended that margin to 5-0 before freshman Rachel Garabedian (Lowell, Mass.) closed out the scoring for the contest with her first collegiate goal that came with just under 12 minutes to play.

DeMaio added a pair of assists in the triumph for the Vikings, who also received single helpers from senior Jackie Gauthier (Danvers, Mass.) and sophomore Veronica Poirier (Newburyport, Mass.).  Senior Leah Potcner (Wilmington, Mass.) picked up the shutout win in goal without making a save for the visitors, while senior Emily Welsh (Shelton, Conn.) made 12 stops in net in the setback for the host Buccaneers (2-13, 0-7 MASCAC), as Salem State collected all 29 shots for the match.
