Bucs Lose to Dean for Second Day in a Row

FRANKLIN, Mass – BucBall took a trip to Dean College to take on the Bucs in the away half of their home-and-home with the Bulldogs. After losing yesterday by the Bay, the Bucs dropped their game with Dean on Wednesday, 11-2, on the road.

 

How It Happened

The Bulldogs scored early and often, grabbing six runs in the bottom of the first inning. They added four in the bottom of the third and their 11th and final run in the sixth.

The Buccaneers wouldn't get on the board until the top of the ninth. Jackson Simone (Seattle, Wash) homered to right field to break erase the shutout. Angus McNeil (Middleton, Mass) later flew out to left field, bringing in Dylan Sullo (Acushnet, Mass) to score, making the score 11-2, the eventual final as the Bucs couldn't bring any more runs across.

At The Plate

Dean batted 8-for-35 in the game. Jeff Sharnick had three of the eight Bulldogs hits. He also drove in three runs.

Zachary Bochenek drove in two runs and scored once in a 1-for-4 performance at the plate.

Dean walked four times, struck out nine times and left six runners on base.

The Buccaneers went 8-for-32 at the plate. Bobby Beane (Hingham, Mass) had two of the eight hits.

Sullo had the lone extra base hits, a triple, for Maritime.

The Bucs walked three times, struck out four times and left seven runners on base.
