BOSTON, Mass. --  Junior Callie Warnock (Kingston, Mass.) netted a pair of goals and three assists for five points to lead Simmons to a 19-2 non-league college women’s lacrosse victory over Massachusetts Maritime Monday afternoon at Winsor Field.

 

Sophomore Ali Stonehouse (Keene, N.H.) and freshman Ashley Sheehan (North Attleboro, Mass.) each added hat tricks in the triumph for the host Sharks (2-1), who tallied the first 10 markers of the match en route to a 12-1 advantage at the break.  Senior Emily Kaley (Manchester, Maine) and junior Leanne Luke (Newton, Mass.) each added two goals on the day for Simmons, which also received a goal and three assists off the stick of freshman Hannah McGoldrick (Newton, Mass.).  Senior Shelagh Hogan (North Andover, Mass.) accounted for both goals in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-2), as she tallied in each half of action.

 

Sophomore Crystal Derosier (Kingston, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for Simmons with one first half save, while senior Kelly Last (West Haven, Conn.) added a pair of second half stops for the hosts.  Sophomore Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) made 12 saves in net in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime, as the Sharks outshot the Buccaneers by a 41-9 margin for the contest.

 

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Nichols in a non-league outing on Wednesday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Simmons travels to Paxton, Mass. on Wednesday afternoon to take on Anna Maria in a non-league match that begins at 4:00 p.m.
