Women's Lacrosse Set For Second Campaign, Bucs Welcome Bullis As New Mentor For Inaugural MASCAC Season

Women’s Lacrosse made a successful debut as Massachusetts Maritime’s newest varsity intercollegiate program last spring, and the Buccaneers are set for their second campaign in 2013 with a few new changes in the fold.  Former Bentley standout Leslie Bullis has taken over as the Bucs’ new head coach and will guide her squad through a 16-match regular season schedule in the newly formed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference that includes six fellow former NEWLA members.

Massachusetts Maritime begins its slate on Thursday, March 7th when Bullis’s crew ships up to Boston to take on Wentworth in a non-league encounter that begins at 7:00 p.m. EST.  The Buccaneers home their home schedule on Saturday, March 9th by hosting SUNY-Maritime in a non-league clash at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 2:00 p.m. EST, as Massachusetts Maritime will also host Nichols, Regis, Wheelock, Framingham State, Elms, Fitchburg State and Bridgewater State during the spring.

The Buccaneers will also travel to Simmons, UMass Dartmouth, Daniel Webster, Becker, Salem State, Worcester State and Westfield State, as the March 30th home contest with Framingham State will mark the program’s MASCAC debut.
