Bucs Sweep Lynx on the Road
LEXINGTON, Mass -- The Buccaneers volleyball team picked up their second win of the season on Tuesday night on the road against Lesley University, 3-0.

- Junior Captain Shayla Narodowg led the bucs in kills with nine and in assists with 14.
- Freshman Alanys Torres tallied eight kills of her own and sophomore Gemma Geisler had five on the night.
- Freshman Alaina Strozik had nine assists in the match.
- Sophomore Ashleigh Catlett and Narodowg led all players with four service aces in the match. Audrey Manning picked up three of her own.
- Defensively, Manning led the match with 11 digs and Catlett had eight.
- At the net, freshman Maliah Servino picked up a solo block while Strozik and Chloe Johnson combined for a block.
Lesley
- Shae Thomas had six kills to lead the Lynx and led the team in assists with five.
- Renee Hatch had four service aces in the loss.
- Defensively, Rayann Fatahi led Lesley with nine digs. Multiple players recorded five digs in the match.
How It Happened
Maritime went down early in the first set, falling behind 5-2. Slowly, the Buccaneers erased the deficit and tied the game at 8-8. The tides flipped again in favor of the Lynx who went back up by three again midway through, 16-13. From there, the Bucs tied the set back up at 17-17 and then 18-18 before outscoring Lesley seven to two down the stretch to take the first game, 25-20, and a 1-0 lead in the match.
In the second set, the Bucs jumped out to an early advantage going up 3-0. Lesley closed the small gap but never led in the game. After going up by four, 10-6, Maritime opened their lead to 10 points, 18-8, and didn't look back. Lesley scored five more points in the game but not enough to get back into the set as the Bucs took it 25-13 and had a commanding 2-0 lead in the match.
In set three, the Lynx were only able to sprinkle in points between the Bucs three to four point runs. Maritime opened a 12-point lead, 18-6, and would go on to win the game, 25-11, and the match, 3-0.

The Bucs are back on the road on Thursday to take on Nichols College at 7pm in Dudley, MA.
