Rosano Named To D3football.com Team Of Week, Earns Nod As ECAC Special Teams Player Of Week

After earning the nod as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Sunday, Massachusetts Maritime junior Bobby Rosano picked up two more accolades earlier today for his performance in the Buccaneers’ 24-20 Chowder Bowl victory over SUNY-Maritime last Thursday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium.

Rosano, a native of North Reading, Mass. and a graduate of North Reading High School, earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week Presented by Scoutware as the return specialist and was also named as the ECAC Division III North Special Teams Player of the Week.  Rosano averaged 38.8 yards on four returns (155 total yards) that included an 86-yard touchdown return late in the third quarter to spark Massachusetts Maritime’s comeback from a 10-point deficit, as he finished the evening with 194 all-purpose yards after chipping in with five receptions for 39 yards in addition to his return heroics.

Head Coach Jeremy Cameron’s Buccaneers look to for their second victory of the young season in yet another rivalry game on Saturday afternoon, as Massachusetts Maritime travels to Castine, Maine to take on Maine Maritime in the 41st Annual Admiral’s Cup clash at Ritchie Field that kicks off at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
