D3Football.com Lists Chowder Bowl Among "Best Division III Football Road Trips In 2013"
The start of the 2013 Buccaneer football season is gaining some attention nationwide, as the most respected voice of Division III football, d3football.com, has listed the September 12th Chowder Bowl clash between Massachusetts Maritime and SUNY-Maritime as one of the “Best Division III Football Road Trips of 2013”.
The Sixth Annual Chowder Bowl match-up between the Buccaneers and Privateers at Clean Harbors Stadium will be played under the lights on the second Thursday of September, as Massachusetts Maritime looks to avenge a last second 20-14 setback in last year’s match-up in Throggs Neck, N.Y.
Massachusetts Maritime is the only MASCAC member school to appear on d3football.com’s “Road Trip” list, and the Chowder Bowl is only one of three contests in New England to make the cut, joining Endicott at MIT and Becker at Anna Maria.
