Quinn Named As MASCAC Football Special Teams Player Of The Week

Massachusetts Maritime freshman placekicker Ryan Quinn was named as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week on Saturday evening for his performance in the Buccaneers’ wild 54-53 victory at Western Connecticut.

A native of North Andover, Mass. and a graduate of North Andover High School, Quinn converted all six of his point after attempts on the day in leading Head Coach Jeremy Cameron’s squad to the fourth highest scoring output in school history.  On the season, Quinn has converted 15-of-19 PAT attempts and booted a pair of field goals, including a career-long 35-yarder against Fitchburg State on October 5th.

Massachusetts Maritime, which improved to 3-2 overall on the season with the triumph over the Colonials, heads to Westfield, Mass. next Saturday afternoon (October 19th) to take on Westfield State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference clash that kicks off at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
