Members of the Massachusetts Maritime baseball team recently assisted the Bourne United Methodist Church in preparing for its annual Halloween Pumpkin Sale that benefits the Bourne Food Pantry.

Eight current Buccaneers and former Massachusetts Maritime diamond standout Sam White ’99 helped unload over 2,400 pumpkins that will be sold through Halloween by the church, and proceeds from the sale will be donated directly to the Bourne Food Pantry, which serves over 750 families in town.

The pumpkins, which arrived from a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, will be sold at the Bourne United Methodist Church, which is located at 37 Sandwich Road, seven days a week until Halloween.  Sales will take place Mondays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays between Noon and 6:00 p.m.
