Baseball Set To Tackle 32-Game Regular Season Slate In Corradi's 42nd Campaign

Though the Kennedy has embarked on her annual Sea Term mission, spring is just around the corner, and with that preparations are underway for the 2014 Massachusetts Maritime baseball season that begins in less than six weeks.  The Buccaneers are set to tackle a 32-game regular season slate under the guidance of veteran mentor Bob Corradi, who enters his 42nd season at the helm and ranks as one of the winningest active coaches in NCAA Division III play.

Massachusetts Maritime will once again head to Fort Pierce, Florida before the start of the spring semester to play three contests, beginning on Saturday, March 1st with a single game against Elizabethtown at 7:00 p.m. EST.  The Buccaneers will also face Susquehanna in a doubleheader the following morning before heading North to prepare for their home opener against Lyndon State on Saturday, March 15th at Commodore Hendy Field beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

Corradi’s crew will play 18 contests along the shores of Buttermilk Bay this spring, including MASCAC twinbills with Westfield State, Worcester State and MCLA as well as non-league clashes with the likes of Tufts, Clark and Wentworth, and Massachusetts Maritime will tackle Fitchburg State, Bridgewater State, Salem State and Framingham State in league road play while also visiting rival Coast Guard.
