Sailing Records Solid Performances At Roger Williams, Maine Maritime And Boston College Invitationals

The Massachusetts Maritime sailing team has enjoyed a solid season in the early going, as the Buccaneers recorded a top 10 finish at the Roger Williams Mount Hope Bay Invitational to go with a pair of 15th place performances in two other events.

The Duxbury, Mass. sophomore tandem of Michael Reney and Leo Connolly placed 10th in the A Division at the Roger Williams Mount Hope Bay Invitational with a score of 103 points, while the B Division duo of sophomore Andrew Labbe (Warwick, R.I.) and freshman Amanda Ballassi (Waterford, Conn.) placed 11th with a score of 116 points.

Massachusetts Maritime placed 15th in both the Maine Maritime Pen Bay Open and the Boston College Boston Harbor Invitational, as the freshmen tandem of Anders Straume (Boston, Mass.) and Mikayla Martin (Warwick, R.I.) were 16th in the A Division at Maine Maritime with a score of 155 points, while the duo of freshmen Richard Graef (Zionsville, Ind.) and Edward Tamulevich (Bethesda, Md.) was 11th with a score of 116 points.

Graef and Tamulevich posted a score of 86 points in A Division competition at Boston College, while the sophomore tandem of Santiago Enrique (Boston, Mass.) and David Afienko (Norwell, Mass.) placed 17th in the B Division with a score of 119 points.
