Men's Cross Country Looks To Take Run At MASCAC Crown With Eight Race Schedule In Slattery's Rookie Season

The Massachusetts Maritime men’s cross country team is gearing up for another run at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference title this fall, and the Buccaneers will be led by a new but familiar face in 2015.  Former assistant coach Chris Slattery has taken the reins of the program from longtime mentor Chris Ryan, and he is set to guide his squad through another challenging slate of invitationals this season.

Massachusetts Maritime will host the 11th Annual Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational to begin the season on Saturday, September 5th alongside the Cape Cod Canal, and the Buccaneers will also compete in events at the University of New England (September 12th), UMass Dartmouth (September 19th), Elms (September 26th), Westfield State (October 10th) and Emmanuel (October 16th) prior to the MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships on Saturday, October 31st at Eastern Connecticut.  Slattery’s crew will compete two weeks later at the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, November 14th at Connecticut College.
