Men's Lacrosse Set To Embark On 16-Match 2017 Schedule In Deegan's Seventh Season
Though the sight of snowballs flying through the air has been few and far between this winter, the sight of lacrosse balls flying around Clean Harbors Stadium is just over six weeks away, as the Massachusetts Maritime men’s lacrosse team continues to prepare for its upcoming 2017 season.
Seventh-year Head Coach Rory Deegan will lead his squad into a 16-match schedule this spring, as the Buccaneers begin the new campaign on Saturday, March 4th by hosting Albertus Magnus in a non-league clash alongside the Cape Cod Canal at 3:00 p.m. EST. Massachusetts Maritime will also entertain Plymouth State, Norwich and Anna Maria in non-conference affairs while welcoming Emerson, Clark and MIT to Taylor’s Point for New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference action.
Deegan’s crew will hit the road for the Fourth Annual Maritime Classic with rivals SUNY-Maritime and host Maine Maritime during the weekend of March 11-12, and the Buccaneers will also travel to Saint Joseph’s (Maine), Salem State and UMass Dartmouth for non-league matches. Massachusetts Maritime will venture to Springfield, Babson, Coast Guard and Wheaton in NEWMAC action during April as well.
