Sophomores Shavonne Boyle (Doylestown, Pa.) and Janine Prokscha (Washington, Conn.) each netted goals in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-2), as freshman Katherine Cotton (Kennebunk, Maine) picked up the win in goal for Nichols with one save on the evening.  Sophomore Jenna Breault (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) recorded 10 stops in net in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime, as the Bison outshot the Buccaneers by a 40-5 margin for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime’s scheduled match at Daniel Webster on Saturday has already been postponed due to unplayable field conditions, as the Buccaneers return to action next Tuesday afternoon by heading to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to take on Wheelock in a non-league outing that begins at 3:30 p.m.  Nichols hosts Westfield State in a non-league match on Saturday afternoon at Vendetti Field beginning at Noon.
