Childs, Grieco, and Rousseau Earn All-MASCAC Spots

WESTFIELD, Mass -- They ran faster, jumped higher and threw farther than the rest of the MASCAC in their respective events at the Conference Championship meet in Fitchburg and for that, Anthony Childs, Alyssa Grieco, and Josh Rousseau earned spot on the MASCAC All Conference Teams this spring. Unlike other sports in the conference, the only way to be named to the All-MASCAC team in track and field is to win your event at the championship meet.

Each of these Buccaneers broke records and then broke their own records this season. At the MASCAC Championship meet Childs won the 200 and 400 meters dashes, Grieco won the 400 meter hurdles, and Rousseau won the hammer and the discus, breaking his own hammer throw program record in the process.

Childs and Grieco became the first Buccaneers in program history to win running events at the MASCAC Championship meet and Rousseau is the first thrower in program history to win two throwing events at the meet.
