BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers men's lacrosse team is geared up for their 2024 season under second-year head coach Mike Smith who has brought in a number of reinforcements after losing his top scorer and All-American Honorable Mention Mitchell Maida. Key returning players for the Bucs include faceoff man Brian Rosher, Captains Evan Doig, James Cassidy, and Matt Mullaney, senior Jack Iversen, and more. Last season, the Bucs finished 8-7 with a 5-3 conference record and made it to the LEC playoffs for the second consecutive season losing to Keene State in the Quarterfinals, 22-12.

The Bucs begin their season on February 24th on the road against Clark before returning home for four games in early March against Manhattanville, Norwich, Curry, and Wheaton. Following the homestand, the team travels to Castine, Maine to take on Maine Maritime in the Admiral's Cup. On March 19th they open LEC play on the road in Vermont against Castleton and four days later will travel to Southern Maine to take on the Huskies in a conference showdown. Closing out the month of March, the Bucs host a tough Keene State team on the 30th.

The team returns home for three in a row to begin April with conference Matchups against Salem State, UMass Boston, and Eastern Connecticut. They'll close out the regular season with road conference games against West Conn and Plymouth State on April 13th and 15th.
