Teehan Again Earns Weekly Honors, Joined by Haley

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Teehan earned his fourth MASCAC weekly nod after having taken home Pitcher of the Week, Rookie of the Week, and a previous Honor Roll this season. Teehan (Hyde Park, Mass.) pitched 10 innings with a 0.90 ERA, allowing nine hits, and one earned run with 11 strikeouts and two walks to earn a win and save for the Buccaneers.

The right-hander threw a complete game, allowing seven hits, one earned run with nine strikeouts in the 2-1, nine-inning win over Worcester State. Earlier in the week, Teehan earned his third save of the season, tied for second in the conference, registering two strikeouts and two hits in one inning of work in a 5-3 win over Bridgewater State.

Teehan lost out on Pitcher and Rookie of the Week to fellow freshman Ryan Towle of Fitchburg State. Towle posted an ERA of 1.38, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with 14 strikeouts in 13 innings of work in a 2-0 week for the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Haley batted .353 (6-for-17) with four doubles, a home run, three RBI and three runs scored with a .765 slugging percentage in a 5-0 week for the Buc Baseball. The Hanson, Mass. native went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, two RBI and a run scored in the 5-3 win over Bridgewater State. Haley then added a 2-for-5 day with two doubles, a RBI and two runs scored in the 10-4 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology.

The Player of the Week was Salem State's Mac Daniel Singleton, who batted .737 (14-for-19) with a double, two triples, five runs scored and four RBI with a 1.000 slugging percentage and .737 on-base percentage in a 2-3 week for the Vikings.

The Buccaneers will host the winner of tomorrow night's MCLA at Framingham State University MASCAC first-round game on Friday at 3 p.m. MMA is guaranteed at least one more game in the conference championship, with games shifting to Westfield State University on Saturday.
