Women's Rowing Finishes Second at Riverhawk Challenge
METHUEN, MA -- Women's Rowing finished their regular season strong with a second place finish on Saturday at the Riverhawk Challenge.
The varsity fours boat won their heat race with a time of 7:13.65. That time was good to finish just under two seconds ahead of Middlebury and just over five seconds ahead of Johnson & Wales.
In the finals, the Bucs took on Merrimack, Middlebury and Vermont. With a time of 7:35.04 they finished second to Merrimack who came across at 7:19.96. They edged out Middlebury by five seconds.
The team travels to Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury, MA next Saturday for the New England Rowing Championships.
