DURHAM, N.H. -- The Buccaneers sailing team competed at the Loder Trophy hosted by the University of New Hampshire over the weekend and though light rain greeted the teams they made it through 10 events with the Bucs boats finishing 7th and 14th out of 18 total teams.

The top Maritime boat accumulated 74 points across the two divisions and events beating out Olin College of Engineering by nine points. The Buc's A boat was 15 points behind Northeastern in sixth place. Maritime's top boat finished in the top five of events three times with a second place finish and two fourth place finishes.

The Buccaneers second boat finished in 14th overall with 123 point and beat out UMass Amhersts second boat by 10 points. The Bucs were short of 13th placed Bentley by just three points. Maritime's B boat had a top finish of ninth place across all events with three top 10 finishes overall on the weekend.
