PLYMOUTH, Mass -- Bucs dignhy sailing team hosted the Great Herring Pond Open over the weekend and in a field of 10 teams finished sixth and 10th in the regatta.

The top Buccaneers boat finished in a virtual tie with Salve Regina for fifth place with Salve taking fifth on tie break. Maritime picked up 123 points in their sixth place finish, two points ahead of UConn with 125 in seventh. 

The second Bucs boat came in 10th with 178 points, nine points behind Weslyan in ninth.

URI won the Open with 35 points, going wire to wire for the win. Tuft and UNH finished in second and third.
