MILTON, Mass. --  Four different individuals scored goals to back the combined shutout effort of senior Samantha Curry (Pepperell, Mass.) and junior Hayley Lorge (Beverly, Mass.) in net to lead Curry to a 4-0 non-league college women’s soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Monday evening at Katz Field.

Junior Alayna Coakley (Grafton, Mass.) gave the host Colonels (6-8-2) the only marker they would need in the 20th minute of play after converting a feed from fellow junior Brittney McLaughlin (Wilmington, Mass.), and junior Alexsa Hesford’s (Scituate, R.I.) unassisted goal in the 32nd extended Curry’s lead to 2-0 at the break.  Senior Lindsay Trudeau (Storrs, Conn.) extended that advantage to 3-0 in the 57th minute on a feed from senior Brooke Moore (Bellingham, Mass.), and sophomore Emily Wilder’s (Stoughton, Mass.) unassisted tally with just under 10 minutes remaining accounted for the final score.

Hardy picked up the win in goal for Curry with one first half save, while Lorge also recorded a stop in the final 45 minutes of action for the hosts.  Freshman Katie Levesque (Wilmot, N.H.) made a career-high 20 saves in net in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (2-10), as the Colonels outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 40-4 margin while taking four of the first corners in the match.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Salem, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on Salem State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference outing that begins at Noon, while Curry hosts Gordon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m.
