Mantopoulos Named As Massachusetts Maritime’s Head Rifle Coach
Tom Mantopoulos, a nine-year veteran of the United States Coast Guard now stationed at the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Falmouth, Mass., has been named as Head Rifle Coach at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Mantopoulos’s appointment, which is effective immediately, was confirmed today by Bob Corradi, Massachusetts Maritime’s Director of Athletics
Surette Records High Individual Scores As Rifle Closes Out 2010 Regular Season Slate With MAC Dual-Match Setback At MIT
Senior Michael Surette recorded the top individual scores in both smallbore and air competition for the Buccaneer rifle team on Saturday afternoon, as Massachusetts Maritime closed out its 2010 regular season slate in dropping a Mid-Atlantic Conference dual-match decision to MIT in Cambridge, Mass.

This week's Buc of the Week is Buccaneers senior linebacker Hunter Lassere! Lassere recorded a career-high 21 tackles on senior day in the Cranberry Bowl on Saturday against Bridgewater State. He posted 15 solo tackles and six assisted. 12 of the 21 tackles came in the first half.
