Rifle Set To Begin Mantopoulos Era In Early October With MAC Invitational At Navy
The Massachusetts Maritime rifle team will have a new look during the upcoming season, as Head Coach Tom Mantopoulos begins his inaugural campaign in 2011 with a very young roster of Buccaneers. Mantopoulos takes over for Oliver Deibert, who guided Massachusetts Maritime to a Mid-Atlantic Conference Marksman Division title during his tenure.
The Buccaneers will begin the season by heading to Annapolis, Md. to participate in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Invitational at the United States Naval Academy on Saturday, October 1st, and Mantopoulos will see his crew compete in four other events during the fall, with MAC matches scheduled against MIT, Coast Guard, John Jay, New York Maritime and Wentworth in November and early December.
