Massachusetts Maritime looks to defend its overall championship and Hoffman Trophy over the Columbus Day Weekend at the prestigious Trysail Regatta on Long Island Sound at the Larchmont Yacht Club in Larchmont, N.Y. 

The Buccaneers will compete against squads from some of the biggest colleges and universities in the sport aboard Massachusetts Maritime Foundation Trustee Rick Lyalls' J-109 Storm. 

Led by Co-Head Women's Sailing Coach Davis Sanford, the cadets that will represent the Academy at this event include seniors Philip Johnson (Hingham, Mass.), Kevin Denien (Rockland, Mass.) and Bailey Gingras (Weybridge, Vt.); juniors Philip Scott (Pocasset, Mass.), Rob Gallagher (Sandwich, Mass.), Devin Tetzlaff (Forestdale, Mass.) and Petra Murray (Enfield, Conn.); sophomores Eric Pattison (Southbury, Conn.), Jeffrey Gawrys (Marblehead, Mass.), Christina Colarusso (Middleboro, Mass.), Ryan Lotti (South Yarmouth, Mass.), Graham Philpot (Laconia, N.H.) and Ian Wiltshire (Alexandria, N.H.) as well as freshman Andrew Thibeault (Cotuit, Mass.).
