Brady Leads Men's Cross Country To Solid Season Finish At NCAA Division III New England Regionals

WESTFIELD, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime men’s cross country team wrapped up its 2012 season with a solid performance at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships hosted by Westfield State on Saturday afternoon, as the Buccaneers finished 36th among 50 competitors in the field and fifth among MASCAC schools.

Sophomore Tyler Brady (Woburn, Mass.) set the pace once again for Massachusetts Maritime, as he covered the 8K Stanley Park layout in a time of 28:17.32 to finish 175th individually in a field of 351 runners, while fellow sophomore Brenton Andrews (Hubbardston, Mass.) followed with a time of 29:04.29 that was good for 209th place individually.  Freshman Anthony DeTommaso (Weymouth, Mass.) was next in 218th place with a time of 29:22.94, while junior Steven Migridichian (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and sophomore Godfred Mbengam (Randolph, Mass.) rounded out the Buccaneer scoring in 228th and 237th place, respectively, with times of 29:37.44 and 29:57.32.

Middlebury took top team honors in the competition with a score of 91 points, while Bowdoin (101 points) and Bates (105 points) finished up in the respective runner-up and third place positions.
