In the top of the second, Logiudice reached on an error that allowed Marsden to score from third and the Bucs took a 2-0 lead after two innings of play.

Neither team scored in the third and then the Bucs opened their lead to 4-0 in the top of the fourth. Freeman singled to score Leslie and Velzis doubled to bring in Freeman. In the bottom of the fourth, Gordon scored to erase the shutout. Razzaboni homered and the hosts trailed 4-1 after four.

Maritime added another in the top of the fifth on Marsden's first career home run to left field. The Scots didn't score in the bottom of the inning and halfway through Maritime led 5-1.

Gordon kept the Buccaneers off the board in the top of the sixth and scored three runs in the bottom of the fram. McIntyre doubled to bring in one and Demers homered to score two runs. Gordon trailed 5-4 after six innings.

The late innings were a marathon for both teams. The Bucs extended the lead to two runs in the seventh when Houston singled to score Estrada. Maritime led 6-4 at the seventh inning stretch. In the bottom of the seventh, the Scots scored three runs to take their first lead of the game. One run scored on a wild pitch, the second came in on a sacrifice fly, and Demers doubled to score Blake and give Gordon a 7-6 advantage.

After the eighth, just the second full inning without a run in the game, Maritime retook the lead in the top of the ninth. A wild pitch scored Logiudice and Velzis singled to score Freeman and Leslie. The Bucs led 9-7 heading to the home half of the ninth. Gordon splashed in the bottom of the ninth inning scoring two runs to tie the game. Maritime got out of the inning and the game headed to extra innings tied at 9-9.

Neither team scored in the 10th and in the 11th Maritime broke the tie with five runs. Pietrafesa doubled, bringing in Freeman. Estrada followed that up with a two-RBI single up the middle bringing in Pietrafesa and Velzis. Estrada later came in to score on a wild pitch and the final run for Maritime came in on a Weir single. Maritime led 14-9. In the bottom of the 11th, McIntyre hit a sacrifice fly to score Blake and it was all the Scots would get as Logiudice finished the game off on the mound and helped earn the Bucs the 14-10 victory.
