BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Last week, Buccaneer senior third baseman Brett Velzis batted .667 (8-for-12) with three doubles, two home runs, and 12 RBI. This week, he was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for his performance.

In the Buccaneers doubleheader sweep of Bridgewater State on Patriots Day, Velzis hit two doubles in game two and drove in six runs. On the day, he added a home run and two more runs batted in. 

On Thursday, the Bucs hosted Salem State and Brett drove in four runs, all on a grand slam, and his program leading 21st home run of his career.

This is Brett's first National Honors of the 2024 season.
