
Baseball Loses Last Game of Conference Series to Bears
BRIDGEWATER, Mass -- The Buccaneers and Bears played their third and final game of their conference series on Tuesday in Bridgewater. After sweeping the first two games of the series on Patriots Day, the Bucs dropped Tuesday's matinee by a final of 19-9.

Maritime
- Damon White and Jake Houston each had two hits in the game for the Bucs. Tucker Leslie, AJ Pietrafesa, Rex Sullivan, Michael ogiudice, and Alec Marsden each had one hit in the loss.
- Houston drove in three runs for the Bucs and White knocked in two. Leslie, Eduardo Correia, Marsden, and Bill Gorry all had one run batted in.
- Pietrafesa and White both scored twice. Hunter Dean, Costa Beechin, Sullivan, Logiudice, and Gorry all scored once.
- Leslie and Logiudice each had a double, the only extra base hits for the Bucs.

- Ryan Flaherty and Cam James each had three base knocks in the win. Steven Simon and DJ Prampin added two hits each. Four other Bears had one base hit.
- Flaherty drove in three runs and Mathew Pigeon, Prampin, and James drove in two runs each. Five other Bridgewater hitters were credited with a RBI.
- Scott Emerson, Kevin Lindsay, and Flaherty all scored three times. imon and Jaden Arruda scored twice. Six other bears scored once.
- James had a triple, Simon, Pigron, and Prampin all had doubles to round out the extra base hits for the Bears.
- Lindsay was credited with a stolen base in the game.
How It Happened
Maritime struck first in the third game of the series with the Bears in the top of the second inning. White singled to score Dean, Marsden singled and brought in Logiudice, and Houston singled to score White. Maritime led 3-0 behind O'Rourke after two.
O'Rourke was cruising through the Bears lineup through 4.2 innings with four strikeouts. After leaving the game, the Bears bats came alive in the bottom of the sixth. Bridgewater went on to score 13 runs in the inning and opened a 10-run lead over the Buccaneers, 13-3.
In the bottom of the seventh, Bridgewater added insurance with six more runs and led 19-3.
In the top of the eighth, the Bucs fought back and scored four times. Gorry walked with the bases loaded, Houston singled in White and Beechin, and Leslie doubled and brought in Gorry. The Bucs trailed 19-7 after eight.
The bucs bullpen settled down after the seventh and following their spurt of four runs in the eighth, the Bucs added two more in the top of the ninth. Correia reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Pietrafesa to score and White singled again and that scored Sullivan. MArime failed to add any more runs and dropped the third game of the series, 19-9.
