BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers baseball team is gearing up for the 2024 season after making it to the MASCAC Championship round last season against Bridgewater State. The Bucs return a handful of players for the 2024 season including captains Tucker Leslie, AJ Pietrafesa, and Brett Velzis.

Maritime opens their 2024 campaign on March 2nd against Colby Sawyer in a non-conference doubleheader. Their first road game will be against Nichols College on March 7th. The team will play seven games in a six day span between March 15th and March 20th with five of the seven games at home against Anna Maria, Rivier, and Dean.

On March 29th, the Bucs open their MASCAC schedule on the road against Westfield State and will host the Owls in a conference doubleheader the following day, Saturday, March 30th at Hendy Field. The Bucs face the usual suspects in conference play and will take on the reigning MASCAC Champions, Bridgewater State, on Patriots Day, April 15th, in a doubleheader at home and will close out the three-game series with the Bears on April 23rd. 

There has been some movement in the schedule for Maritime with the Academy's sea term taking place in April and May which has put the team in a position to play a lot of their games prior to the ship leaving on April 20th. The Buccaneers will continue their season through the first week of may when they close out their conference and regular season schedule with the Worcester State Lancers on May 3rd and 4th. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the MASCAC postseason tournament will take place May 9th through the 12th.
