Robert E. Corradi SAAC Service Award

Robert E. Corradi SAAC Service Award

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass – Today, our award presentation brings us to the Robert E. Corradi Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Service Award. In 2010, the Department of athletics was proud to begin a new tradition and instituted an award that is awarded annually to a member of the senior class who had provided valuable contributions and service to the Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during their time at the Academy. In 2015, the Buccaneer SAAC unanimously voted to name this award in honor of the longest tenured Director of Athletics in Academy history, Robert E. Corradi.

The recipient of this year's SAAC Service Award is David Moore of the track & field team. An Emergency Management major, David was a member of the Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory committee and more importantly, he served as the Regimental Community Service Operations Officer for the 2019-2020 academic year. His position in the Regiment and involvement in SAAC was invaluable during his senior year as he helped SAAC on numerous occasions coordinate our community service efforts with the Regiment.

Athletically, Moore was a four-year member of the Buccaneer track & field team. In his four years throwing javelin and running in the 800 meter event, David racked up nine top 10 finishes and, in 2019, qualified for the New England Alliance Championships which he finished 15th in the javelin.

Congratulations to this year's recipient of the Robert E. Corradi Student-Athlete Advisory Committee award, David Moore!
