Wells Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honor
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Football junior defensive lineman Hugh Wells has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All District Team for NCAA Division III District One.
Wells, a Marine Transportation major, sports a 3.45 GPA in the classroom and is a two-time MASCAC All-Academic recipient. On the field, Hugh finished 2021 with 57 tackles, 37 solo, four sacks, tied for eighth in the league, 13 tackles for loss, third in the league, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries and a pass breakup.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District Football team recognizes the nations top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. District One includes institutions in Massachusetts and Maine. All-District Team selections advance to the Academic All-American ballot.
