Football Set To Tackle Nine Game Schedule In Cameron's Seventh Campaign This Fall

With nearly 60 letterwinners and 14 starters returning from the most successful season in 11 years, enthusiasm is running high for the 2012 edition of Massachusetts Maritime Football.  Head Coach Jeremy Cameron enters his seventh campaign in Buzzards Bay after notching 10 victories over the last two seasons combined, and the Buccaneers are ready to tackle a nine-game schedule during their final year in the New England Football Conference.

Massachusetts Maritime will play four of its first five contests away from the friendly confines of Clean Harbors Stadium, as the Buccaneers open with a pair of non-league road tilts at SUNY-Maritime in the Fifth Chowder Bowl clash on Friday, September 7th before venturing to Nichols for a second straight “Friday Night Lights” affair on Friday, September 14th.  Cameron’s crew opens its home and NEFC slate on Saturday, September 22nd by renewing rivalries with Coast Guard before hitting the road once again for a pair of league contests at Framingham State and Worcester State.

The Bucs will play three of their final four regular season games alongside Cape Cod Canal, including a Homecoming date with Fitchburg State on Saturday, October 13th and a league affair with Westfield State on Saturday, October 27th that sandwiches their final road trip of the year, a visit to Maine Maritime for the 40th Annual Admiral’s Cup.  Massachusetts Maritime closes out the 2012 regular season on Saturday, November 3rd by entertaining Bridgewater State in the 34th Annual Cranberry Bowl Presented By Ocean Spray, and the Bogan Division champion will host the NEFC Championship game on Saturday, November 10th.
