Kerecz Stops 10 Shots in Bucs Conference Loss to Salem State

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers hosted conference opponent Salem State on Saturday in Buzzards Bay. The Buccaneers took their shot but were shutout by the Vikings, 3-0.

How It Happened

After 34 minutes of a 0-0 match, the Vikings broke through on a free kick from 25 yards out off the foot of Frost giving Salem a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute. Salem carried that lead into the half time break.

In the second half, nine minutes in, Zamejtis scored on a corner kick from Durkin to put the Vikes up 2-0. Later in the half, in the 70th minute, Paquette scored on a rebound of a shot from Scrodin to put Salem State up 3-0, the eventual final score.

The Bucs travel to Fitchburg State on October 12th at 11am to take on the Falcons in conference play.
