How It Happened

The buccaneer defense kept one of the best strikers in the MASCAC, Delaney Parker, at bay for the majority of the game on Saturday but her teammates picked up the slack. Tomasetti scored the first goal of the game in the sixth minute to make it 1-0. Then, in the 32ns minute, White scored to make it 2-0. Tollis scored her first of the game in the 37th minute and the Owls took a 3-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Buccaneers earned a penalty kick just three minutes into the half. Santoro was taken down in the box and proceeded to step up and bury her shot into the right side of the net to get the Bucs on the board. Maritime trailed 3-1 at that point. In the 60th minute, Tollis scored her second goal of the game in the 60th minute to finish off the scoring. Westfield earned the conference win, 4-1.
