Baseball Splits Season Opening Twinbill With Geneva, Drops Tough One Run Decision To Martin Luther In Sunshine State Swing

The Buccaneer baseball team split its season opening doubleheader with Geneva late on Saturday in Fort Pierce, Fla., as Massachusetts Maritime won the opener by a 14-8 final before dropping a 6-1 decision in the nightcap.  Sunday's action saw the Bucs drop a tough 11-10 non-league contest to Martin Luther in the final day of play on their Sunshine State swing.

Massachusetts Maritime will open its Northern schedule on Saturday, March 16th by entertaining Lyndon State in a non-league twinbill at Commodore Hendy Field that begins at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
