Baseball Preparing For Corradi's 41st Season At Helm As Buccaneers Set To Tackle 33-Game Slate

Though the snow and cold have returned to New England, spring is just around the corner, and with that preparations are underway for the 2013 Massachusetts Maritime baseball season that begins in less than six weeks.  The Buccaneers are set to tackle a 33-game regular season slate under the guidance of veteran mentor Bob Corradi, who enters his 41st season at the helm and ranks as the winningest active coaches in NCAA Division III play.

Massachusetts Maritime will once again head to Fort Pierce, Florida before the start of the spring semester to play three contests, beginning on Saturday, March 2nd with a doubleheader against Geneva College at 3:00 p.m. EST.  The Buccaneers will also face Martin Luther College the next afternoon before heading North to prepare for their home opener against Lyndon State on Saturday, March 16th at Commodore Hendy Field beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

Corradi’s crew will play 19 contests along the shores of Buttermilk Bay this spring, including MASCAC twinbills with Salem State, Westfield State, Bridgewater State and MCLA, and Massachusetts Maritime will tackle Framingham State, Fitchburg State and Worcester State in league road play while also visiting the likes of perennial regional power Tufts and Division II foe Bridgeport.
