Women's Cross Country: Buccaneers Finish 22nd at Early Invite

WESTFIELD, Mass -- Women's cross country competed in the James Early Invitational on Saturday at Westfield State in what could be a preview of the MASCAC Championship that will take place at Westfield in a few weeks as all of the conference teams competed at Saturday's meet.

In the varsity race, Deidre Kelly finished first among all Buccaneers in 122nd place, 113th in points, with a time of 23:32.20. Gabby Giammasi and Chloe Arnold finished 128th and 129th overall respectively for the Bucs with times of 24:13.70 and 24:20.89. The Buccaneers finished 22nd overall with 613 points, outpacing Lasell, MCLA and Dean. 

In the women's JV race, Allie Solari finished 59th at 26:52.00. Lisa Grealish was just two spots behind her in 61st with a time of 27:09.00. 

The Buccaneers are at Suffolk University for their next meet on Saturday, October 15th.
