The host Owls (5-4-2, 3-1 MASCAC) struck twice in the opening 5:11 of play on markers by sophomore Marissa McGue (Quincy, Mass.) and Eduardo, who completed her hat trick with a pair of scores that came in a 46 second span shortly after intermission.  McGue added her second of the night in the 63rd minute for Westfield State, which closed out the scoring on freshman Morgan Remington’s (Enfield, Conn.) goal in the 67th minute of action.

McGue added an assist to finish with five points in the triumph for the Owls, who received three helpers from senior Rene Hamel (Monson, Mass.) to go with an assist from senior Kenzie Saltmarsh (Westfield, Mass.).  Junior Natalia Falcone (Sutton, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for the hosts by making one save over the first 52-plus minutes of play, while sophomore Jenna Beach (Feeding Hills, Mass.) also made a stop over the final 37-plus minutes of action.

Sophomore Sara Coffey (Norton, Mass.) made eight saves in goal in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (3-6, 1-3 MASCAC), as Westfield State outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 28-2 margin overall (14-2 on goal) and took all four corner kicks in the contest.
