
Dickinson Records Five Points in Conference Loss to Falcons
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Friday evening, the Buccaneers women's lacrosse team played host to Fitchburg State in conference play. A game that saw 28 goals and 23 cards went the way of the Falcons as the were victorious, 18-10, over the Bucs.

How It Happened
Fitchburg scored first midway through the first quarter on St. George's first of the night. Tibbetts followed that up with her first at 7:23, and Azzari scored at 3:17 to give the Falcons a 3-0 advantage. With 12 seconds left in the quarter, Tompkins scored to cut the deficit to two goals, 3-1.
In the second, the Bucs scored first less than two minutes in on a Durgin score to get back within one goal, 3-2. Fithburg then scored two in a row, both from St. George, at 12:38 and 11:34 to go up 5-2. Durgin scored again at 10:37 to make the score 5-3. Five minutes later, Tibbetts scored for the Galcons to make the score 6-3. In the final 3:28 of the half, the Bucs got goals from Dickinson and then Durgin with 12 seconds left to bring the score to 6-5 in favor of Fitchburg at the halftime break.
The Falcons opened the scoring in the second half with another from St. George just under three minutes in. Deveau got that one back for the Bucs, and Maritime trailed 7-6. The Falcons went on a three-goal run from 6:55 to 3:28, with two goals from Tibbetts and one from Ponder to get the Falcons to double digits with a four-goal lead, 10-6. Deschamps and Dickinson scored back-to-back for Maritime to get back within two goals, and Tibbetts closed the scoring in the third with another to make the score 11-8 after three.
In the fourth, the Falcons scored early and often, scoring seven goals over 10:16 of the quarter, taking an 18-8 lead. In the final 2:10, Deschamps and Dickinson scored one goal apiece to make the score 18-10, the eventual final score in favor of the Falcons.

The Bucs are off until Saturday, April 12th, when they take on Worcester State on the road in conference play at 4 pm.
