In the third quarter, the Bucs scored first to pull within one goal. The Corsairs followed the Bucs goal up with two of their own to take a 5-2 lead. Deveau came down field and scored for theBucs with 8:43 in the third to pull back within two goal, 5-3. UMD proceeded to score three goals over the next two minutes and started to run away with the game. Each team scored once more in the third, and the Corairs led at the end of the third quarter, 9-4.

Maritime, once again, opened the scoring in the final quarter of play, and then UMass went on a five-goal streak, taking a 14-5 lead with four minutes to play.
