Jendzejec Earns Spot On MASCAC Softball Second Team All-Conference Squad

Massachusetts Maritime freshman outfielder Alexis Jendzejec was named on Wednesday morning to the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball all-conference team in a vote of the league’s eight coaches, as the rookie earned second team all-league accolades for her performance during her inaugural collegiate campaign.

A native of West Greenwich, R.I. and a graduate of The Greene School, Jendzejec led the Buccaneers with a .340 batting average (16-47) while starting all 18 games played this spring, as she rapped out five doubles, a triple and a home run while driving in five runs.  Alexis posted a .556 slugging percentage and a .415 on-base percentage that included four stolen bases.

Jendzejec, who becomes the first Massachusetts Maritime all-conference performer on the softball diamond in five years, helped lead Head Coach Megan Giammalvo’s Buccaneers to their highest single-season victory total in a decade this spring.
