BOSTON, Mass -- Bucs sailing took to the water in the Oberg Trophy at Northeastern over the weekend with 16 other schools from around the east coast. Accumulating 516 points, the Buccaneers finished in 14th place.

Maritime's 516 points, good for 14th place in the Oberg, was 17 points better than Salve Regina in 15th place and 20 points shy of Vermont in 13th. In an event laden regatta, the Bucs started the weekend off slow and picked it up on the tail end. On day two, the team finished top five in four events including three fourth place finished to boost them up a couple spots in the final standings. 

Brown University won the event with 194 total points, 56 better than Tufts in second place. Northeastern rounded out the top three with 255 points.
