KEENE, N.H. -- The Buccaneers continued their conference slate on Saturday on the road against Keene State in New Hampshire. Going into the matchup, the Buccaneers were 0-4 all-time against the Owls. Maritime gutted out their second conference win of the season, 14-12.

Maritime
- Quinn Mucha tied for the game-high with four goals. Cooper Barrett scored three times in the win. Daniel Kane, and Ryan McDonough netted two, and James Sullivan, Chilton Cabot, and Joe Vricella scored one.
- Sullivan, Cooper McIntire, Braeden Kosiewicz, and Vricella all had two assists. Mucha, Cabot, and Kyle Shanahan had one assist.

- Gabe Pereira picked up a game-high 10 ground balls and won 13 of 28 faceoffs he took.

How It Happened
A defensive battle for the first nine minutes of the game. The Buccaneers opened the scoring with two goals in two minutes from Cabot and Mucha to take a 2-0 lead. In the final 4:10 of the first, Keene scored two of their own, and the teams were tied after the first quarter, 2-2.
In the second, Maritime took another two-goal lead with goals from McDonough and Sullivan in the first three minutes. Once again, Keene matched the Bucs with goals at 11:31 and 7:59 to tie the game at 4-4. Though the Bucs took back the lead, 5-4, on a Barrett goal, the Owls went on a four-goal run in three minutes with the half winding down. Ricardi scored twice, and Ansart and Souza gave the Owls a three-goal, 8-5, advantage. With 1:33 led in the half, Vricella scored a power play goal to pull within two, 8-6, going to the break.
Keene opened the second half with a goal to open the gap back to three goals, 9-6. Mucha scored back-to-back at 12:04 and 10:52 to get within one goal, 9-8. Ansart netted another to get the Owls to double digits and make the score 10-8. The Buccaneers offense surged at the end of the third with three unanswered goals from Kane, Barrett, and McDonough to tie the game and give the Bucs the lead, 11-10. That score remained at the end of the third.
In the fourth, Barrett and Kane scored within 30 seconds of each other to open a three-goal Maritime lead, 13-10. Midway through the quarter, Bosworth scored for Keene to get within two. That is as close the Owls would get ad Mucha scored one more with 2:57 left, and Souza scored for the hosts with 41 seconds to go. The Buccaneers left New Hampshire with their first-ever win over the Owls, 14-12, in conference play.

The Buccaneers are off until next Saturday when they will head to Boston to face UMass Boston in a battle of the top two teams in the LEC at 1pm.
