WESTFIELD, Mass -- For the second week in a row, a Buccaneer first-year player has been named MASCAC Football Rookie of the Week. This week, sophomore James Cassidy has been named Conference Rookie of the Week for his performance in a 20-9 win over Westfield State on Saturday afternoon.

Cassidy, who has seen an increase in snaps the last few games, made two outstanding catches out of the backfield, one for 20 yards on a 4th and 13 play, the other on a 32-yard touchdown catch to take the lead over the Owls. On the day, he had two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.
