Janualaitis Finishes 29th; Buccaneers Finish 6th at MASCACs

DEVENS, Mass -- Mass Maritime men's cross country took part in the MASCAC Championships at Deven's Recreational Facility, hosted by Fitchburg State, on Saturday. Lukas Janulaitis (Centerville, MA) was the top finisher for the Bucs in a 6th place finish, edging out MCLA by 28 points.

Janulaitis finished 29th in points, 32nd overall with a time of 30:35.18. Captain Ben Tuttle (Barre, MA) finished 37th overall, 34th in points with a time of 30:50.62, just 15 seconds behind his teammate and a second behind the runner in front of him.

Captain Henry Mattson (Rockport, MA) finished third for the Bucs, 39th in scoring with a time of 34:46.76. Grayson Duval (Tolland, MA), Sean Gibson (Acworth, GA) and Christopher Tuttle (Washington, D.C.) were the other runners for Maritime who finished 40th, 42nd and 43rd in scoring respectively to round out the field for the Bucs.

Maritime finished 28 points ahead of MCLA for the 6th spot with a total time of 2:51:47.85 and an average of 34:21.57.
