BRUNSWICK, Maine --  The Massachusetts Maritime men’s cross country team closed out its 2011 season by finishing 42nd of 48 teams competing at the 2011 NCAA Division III New England Regionals hosted by Bowdoin College.

Sophomore Steven Migridichian (Shrewsbury, Mass.) paced the Buccaneers individually, as he posted a time of 29:05.58 over the 8K layout to finish 219th among 322 runners competing in the event, while freshman Godfred Mbengam (Randolph, Mass.) was next in 246th place with a time of 29:43.73.  Freshman Sam Hill (Hopkinton, N.H.) and sophomore Kevin Griffin (Stoneham, Mass.) followed by placing 255th and 256th, respectively, with times of 29:55.16 and 29:55.17, while junior Evan Balderelli (Brimfield, Mass.) rounded out the Massachusetts Maritime scoring by placing 270th individually with a time of 30:25.50.

Williams edged Middlebury by one point (88-89) to claim the team regional crown, while host Bowdoin finished in third place with 160 points.
