Andrews, Brady Lead Men's Cross Country To 20th Place Team Finish At 44th Annual Codfish Bowl Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime men’s cross country team placed 20th of 26 teams from all three divisions competing at the 44th Annual Codfish Bowl Invitational at Franklin Park Saturday morning.

Freshman Brenton Andrews (Hubbardston, Mass.) was the top individual performer for the Buccaneers, as he completed the 8K layout in a time of 30:39 to finish 173rd, while fellow freshman William Brady (Woburn, Mass.) was next in 176th place with a time of 30:46.  Sophomore Steven Migridichian (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed in 196th place with a time of 31:19, while sophomore Kevin Griffin (Stoneham, Mass.) and junior Evan Balderelli (Brimfield, Mass.) closed out the Massachusetts Maritime scoring by posting times of 31:48 and 31:51 that were good for 208th and 209th place, respectively.

Bates took top team honors in the event with a score of 49 points, while Boston University (77 points) and Stonehill (86 points) finished in the runner-up and third place positions, respectively.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Wenham, Mass. next Saturday morning to compete at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational that begins at 11:00 a.m.
